My Story

I’m a Black Mountain native, born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina—where community, nature, and connection have always been part of everyday life. Long before this became the place I chose to raise my family, it was the place that shaped who I am.

After growing up here, I attended Appalachian State University, where I met my now husband. We later moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where I spent three years teaching public special education. Those years deeply influenced how I approach people and families—with patience, empathy, and a strong belief in advocacy and support.

Our path eventually led us to Brooklyn, New York, where we lived for eight years. There, my husband pursued work in the film industry, while I built a career across startups, corporate environments, brand growth and marketing, sales, and eventually film as well, working in set decoration and production design. Living and working in the city expanded our world and sharpened my ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, and stay deeply focused on the client experience.

When we became parents, our priorities shifted. We began thinking more intentionally about safety, schools, community, and the kind of childhood we wanted for our son. That reflection led us home.

We returned to Western North Carolina to raise our growing family surrounded by beauty, strong school systems, family support, and a community that truly shows up. This region offers a rare balance of connection, opportunity, and quality of life.

Real estate is something I’ve always been drawn to, but I knew I would serve clients best in the place I know most deeply. Western North Carolina isn’t just a market to me—it’s home. My roots run deep here, and that lived experience matters.

Today, I help families—especially those coming from larger cities—understand what it truly means to live in Western North Carolina and navigate the shift from city life to small-town mountain living with clarity and confidence.
